Over the past eighteen months, Lee Memorial Library conducted a town-wide survey and follow up focus groups to better understand the needs our residents and patrons voice about their library. With nearly 900 respondents – including close to 150 middle school-aged children – we heard the people of Allendale loud and clear!
Candid participation by the public helped our trustees and management develop the library’s new five-year strategic plan. Having concluded that a well-resourced library is critical to the social fabric of our community, our Strategic Plan endeavors to Reimagine the Library as a welcoming and functional destination for residents, a provider of relevant services and updated, innovative resources for patrons, and a fount of opportunity and equal access for all.
