PART-TIME CIRCULATION ASSOCIATE
Lee Memorial Library in Allendale, NJ is seeking a friendly individual with excellent customer service skills to join our team in the role of Circulation Associate. This position is responsible for providing services that build patron engagement.
The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills; be reliable and collegial; and have the ability to work a flexible schedule that includes days, one evening per week and some Saturdays. Knowledge of Microsoft and Google suites as well as general familiarity with PCs and Macs required. Applicants with Polaris ILS experience and current technical skills are preferred but we will train the right individual.
Duties include:
- Registering new patrons;
- Checking library materials in and out and effecting renewals and hold requests;
- Processing materials for interlibrary loans;
- Shelving materials and weeding the collection as directed;
- Assisting the public in the use of library technology and other resources;
- Successfully collecting fines and fees in a tactful manner;
- Performing administrative duties as necessary;
- Handling patron concerns and inquiries courteously and professionally.
Two [2] positions are available:
Part-Time: 12 – 20 hours per week
Mondays: 3:00PM – 8:00PM
Wednesdays: 9:00AM – 5:00PM
Fridays: 9:00AM – 5:00PM
Saturdays: Rotational, once a month
Salary/Pay Rate: Commensurate with experience
