As a Lee Memorial Library card holder, you have complimentary online access to the New York Times as well as the paper’s international editions when you Click HERE.  

Steps for Access From Home, Work or On the Go
1. Click the link above.
2. Click “Redeem” (A redemption code will automatically appear.)
3. Each time you redeem a code, you will receive free access to the New York Times for 24 hours. At the end of your complimentary 24 hours, you may return to this page, click the button again, log in with your account email and password and claim another 24 hour pass. There is no limit to the number of times you can access the New York Times, but you must sign in from the Lee Memorial Library web site and redeem a 24-hour access pass each time. 
4. Already have a NYTimes.com account? Simply click the link above and log in with your email and password. If you don’t have a NYTimes.com account yet, select the link above and then click the login button to create one.

This offering provides Allendale Library cardholders the current and historical New York Times (*see below for details and restrictions), international editions, Spanish and Chinese language editions, and special features.

The New York Times delivers unsurpassed quality and depth through breaking-news articles, blogs, videos, and interactive features. It’s one of the country’s most distinguished papers of record. 

From any desktop computer in the library or on your own device using the Library’s Wi-Fi network, your access is automatic once you create an account and log in. 

*Details and Restrictions: 

  • This service is strictly limited to Lee Memorial Library card holders. Non-residents are prohibited from access.
  • The crossword puzzle is not included in access with your library card. 
  • NYTimes Cooking is not included. 
  • When you access NYTimes.com from the library or from home, you will have access to content from 1981 to present day as well as 1851 through 1922. 
  • When you visit NYTimes.com off-site, you will have access to some articles from 1923 – 1980 with your 24-hour pass. However, the New York Times does not allow access to that content when accessing the service from within the library or on our Wi-Fi network.
