Teen Programs

Lee Memorial Library Young Adult Department

Welcome to the Young Adult Department of the Lee Memorial Library, located in Allendale, NJ! We host a diverse collection of all the most popular novels, video games, and graphic novels.

Our programs include the following:

  • Teen Advisory Board – Teens in grades 6-12 can give their input on upcoming library programs, as well as assist with art projects for the children’s room. Each attendee will receive one hour of community service credit for their participation. TAB meets on the third Thursday of the month during the school year, at 4PM.
  • Teen Thursdays – Young adults in grades 6-12 are invited to our Teen Thursdays evening programs which meet on the second and fourth Thursday of each month during the school year at 6PM. Each meeting features a new project, including crafts, community service, and other activities.
  • Free SAT and Math Tutoring – Don’t like math? Change that! One-on-one coaching and SAT tutoring open to Allendale residents by appointment only. Call the library to register.
  • Volunteering/Program Assistants – The Youth Services Department is looking for teens (grades 6-12) to assist during craft programs. We are also looking for volunteers to work on short-term weeding and other projects around the library. For more information, stop by the children’s desk or email nicodemo@allendale.bccls.org.
