Summer Reading 2017

Summer Reading is here! Sign-ups for our adult, young adult and children’s programs is happening now online or in person. Reporting begins Monday, July 3rd and runs until Friday, August 25th.

Patrons are encouraged to sign up and log their reading via our Summer Reading Website, which can be accessed from anywhere you have an internet connection.

Children’s Summer Reading
for birth through grade 6
Children in grades 6 and under are to read 15 books (alone or with an adult, based on reading level). Log each book’s title and author in your reading log. For each book read, the child will receive a sticker to place on our map. See if we can cover the whole world by the end of Summer Reading!

Young Adult Summer Reading
for grades 7-12
Read something from one of our 50 challenge categories. For each book your read, receive one raffle ticket towards a $50 gift certificate. Read at least three books to complete the program.

Adult Summer Reading
for ages 18+
This summer, our adult patrons are challenged to expand their world by reading different types of books they may not have otherwise tried. Every time a book is checked off the list, submit a raffle ticket at the circulation desk to win our wonderful gift basket! Read five books to complete the program. The more you read- the more chances you have to win! See the Adult Bonus Challenge to start earning your raffle tickets!
