Museum Passes

The Museum Pass Program, funded in part by the Friends of the Library, offers the opportunity to explore distinctive and dynamic cultural institutions without incurring the cost of admission or waiting in long lines for entry.

Allendale residents may pick up vouchers for FREE general admission to nine of New York City and New Jersey’s most exciting museums: The American Museum of Natural HistoryThe Aviation Hall of Fame, The Brooklyn Botanic Garden, The Children’s Museum of Manhattan, The Frick, The Guggenheim, Grounds of Sculpture, The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum, and the Museum of Modern Art. Please see the chart below for detailed information regarding each museum pass. 

Who is eligible to check out museum passes? Allendale card holders age 18+ who are in good standing (no fines).
What is required to check out a museum pass? A valid library card. All passes, except for the American Museum of Natural History, require a $40 cash deposit. The deposit is refunded when the pass is returned on time and in good condition during normal business hours. Passes may NOT be returned in the book drop.
How can I reserve a pass? Stop in to the library and see a circulation associate to borrow passes, which are available on a first-come, first-served basis.  Beginning in late February, 2018, patrons can reserve a museum pass online through TixKeeper. Simply click on “Reserve Pass” for the date you want to PICK UP the pass. Input your library card number. Fill out the required information. On the date you have reserved the pass, stop by the circulation desk to collect it. Please notify the library if you cannot pick up the pass.
